Golf reports November 29th

Vets Golf
Golf last Tuesday was a stableford event plus a putting competition. Jon Cumming was the best on the day getting the win with 32 points. Neil Paine came in second with 30 points on a count back to Ian Taylor. Ian was the best putter and the NTPs went to Jon Cumming on the 7th and Chris Newberry on the 18th.
Also last week on Friday a good number of Vets, both men and ladies, travelled to Uralla for their open day. I haven’t been handed any info on this but a few snippets I’ve been able to pick up is that Paul Redden scored a very good 37 points and was in the winners list. Kerry Bull won the ladies trophy and Ian Taylor got a NTP. Sorry if I missed anything else.
Golf next week is a stroke event.

Sunday Golf
On Sunday, a competitive field played in a mixed event with Mick Jackson continuing his purple patch to combine with Wendy Jackson and take out the day, with Ian and Leonne Taylor finishing second.
This weekend is the N.E.D.G.A pennants being played in Guyra with the home team nominating some strong teams in Scratch and Nett and will be trying their hardest to bring home a Pennant or two for the day.
All players should enter their preferred time on the time sheet which will be displayed at the Bowling Club. Good luck to all players.
Happy Golfing

Ladies’ Golf
Last week the Ladies golf was not played due to the beautiful rain. This week is the final of the Par medal. Next week is a Bisque Par with Nancy Prisk as the sponsor and starter.

Midweek Golf
Over half of the players dodged the rain this week and put in a scorecard. We have counted everyone’s score who played
Highest individual score once again goes to Noah Brennan with 27 points. Well done. Next was Peter Jackson with 25 and Scott Youman, Matt McFarlane and Billy Youman came in with 24 points.
Highest team score goes to Tee Em Up with 87 points, followed by Baldersleigh Bashers on 81 then Sultans of Swing on 77 points.
Reminder to the junior boys to hit off the men’s yellow markers.
Also, preferred lies on the fairway and with the soft ground, repair your divots.
