09th Dec 2025

Ladies’ Golf
Last week the Ladies played a Bisque Par and Par Medal Round. We had perfect golfing weather and our course is looking magnificent. Thank you to Shane and his helpers.
Jenni Jackson was the winner with +8 on a countback from Wendy George. Nearest the pin winners were, Donna White on the 9th hole, Debbie Heffernan on the 18th hole.
Congratulations to Debbie Heffernan and Shona Mulligan won the Tamworth Ladies Open on Sunday
This week is a Stableford. Next week is a Stroke.

Vets Golf
Last Tuesday was our stroke event. Windy, cold and atrocious conditions didn’t deter 13 very keen players.
Nett winner on the day went to Warren McCowen with Greg Constantine getting the gross. Ian was the best putter and also picked up two NTPs with Paul getting the 3rd.
Next week is a stableford.

Sunday Golf
The pennants team were unsuccessful with their bid to bring home a pennant but a great day was had by all on an extremely challenging course.
I had the junior / senior day set for this weekend but it will be delayed until the following Sunday the 21st of December.
This weekend is a busy one, on Saturday the annual challenge of Ladies v Men will take place. Then on Sunday the long awaited second round of the Shire cup will take place in Guyra. It will be an Irish Foursome alternate shot event on with a maximum of 6 points up for grabs, with the Guyra side trailing 5-1 at the moment. The team is hoping that the home course advantage will help reduce the margin.
Also don’t forget the Boxing Day Ambrose, it is always a big day so come along and enjoy our beautiful course and Club facilities.
HAPPY GOLFING S.K.

This week is the last week before the Christmas break so the accumulated points will be published next week. Recommence on 12th January.
