Vets Golf
Last Tuesday eight Vets contested a stableford event playing the front nine twice. The front nine is still quite wet but playable whilst a couple of holes out the back are still just a little bit too boggy. Please when driving your carts in these conditions stick to the drier areas and keep well away from greens.
Len Stanley was the star of the day coming in the winner to runner up John Prisk with Robert Moore the best putter.
Six Vets also travelled to the Warialda open last Tuesday. It’s a great course over there but proved a little too hard for our fellas. Col Walls was the best for Guyra with 33 points and Ian Taylor picked up a longest drive trophy.
Next Tuesday is the Reg Taylor stroke event.
Don’t forget your bowling club subs are due and payable by the end of the month.
Drake.

Ladies’ Golf
Last week the ladies played a Stroke and Putting Competition.
The winner was Debbie Burey with 76 Nett.
Pip White was runner up on a countback from Kerry Bull with 77 Nett.
Pip also won the Putting competition.
Kerry won the only nearest the pin on the 7th hole.
This week is a 4BBB Stroke sponsored by Nutrien Ag Guyra.
Next week is a 4BBB Aggregate.

Sunday Golf
Hopefully with some good weather we will be able to compete in some Sunday Comps.
Kicking off this weekend with an individual Stroke event. We have added an extra three weeks for the 1st round of Matchplay to be completed so cutoff date is now July 27th due to the closure of the back nine.
The 1st Round of the SHIRE CUP will be played in Armidale on the 6th of July. This is a new concept played in four rounds once a month with progressive scores culminating up to the final Round to be played in Guyra in October to decide the winner between Guyra and Armidale.
Hope to see you on the course
