Soccer
Winter sport may seem miles away but team nominations aren’t. The play football site now has the link to the Guyra registration page for sign up.
The senior competition will kick off on the 12th of April and we invite anyone interested in playing in the senior competition to be at training tomorrow the 19th February to see how many numbers the club has.
If you played last year and aren’t returning, could we please have your shirt back. Either drop in at training or to the Royal Hotel.
Junior soccer won’t start until 3rd May but please don’t leave registration to the last minute.
Twilight soccer continues Wednesday afternoon at 4.30pm for juniors. If you want to bring new kids for a come and try before the winter season you are more than welcome.

Midweek golf
Apologies to everyone for no midweek report the last few weeks. Highlights of two weeks ago are firstly an amazing 27 points to Katri Virtanen. Congratulations to one of our newest midweek golfers. On 25 points was Lachlan Brazier, with Lee Rose 24 and on 23 we have Cooper Brennan, David Brown, Roger Cox, Richard Ward.
Team score for the week went to That’s a Gimme on a massive 96 points. Followed by Green Grass on 87 and Shire Sharks 85. Some great scores and plenty of run on the course.
Last week top score went to Sharon Vickery with 27 points. Fantastic. Closely followed on 26 was Ollie White. Next highest was Belinda Williamson on 23. Team score once again went to That’s a Gimme on 85, then on 80 were Birdies and Pitch Purrfects.
Midweek competition finishes on Sunday 1st March. A bit earlier than planned. So only this week and next week to go.
Thank you to everyone who plays and supports the midweek competition. We need the great combination of new and existing golf players to even out the playing field.

Vets Golf
Last Tuesday our Vets played a stableford event that attracted 14 players. Phil Devlin struck the ball well to record the win with 39 points. Colin Mulligan pushed him all the way and came in second just one shot away on 38. NTPs went to Tex Varley twice and Neil Paine got the 3rd one. Custard was the best putter with 26.
Thank you to the vets that turned up to the working bee. Lots of trees trimmed up and also thank you to Ray Sweeney who does an excellent job marking the outer bounds and hazard lines. Next Tuesday will be our 4BBB Stableford.
