Coaches needed
14th Oct 2025

The Super Spuds are full throttle towards 2026 after last week’s annual general meeting.
The club elected a committee to be led by new president John Atkin.
Joining him on the executive will be Amanda Campbell (secretary), Louise Dowden (treasurer), Grant Robertson (senior vice-president) and Harrison Dowden (junior vice-president).
A number of further committee members were also added in support of the executive.
The next job is to appoint coaches.
Applications for the A grade men’s, under 18s, women’s leaguetag and women’s tackle roles will close on October 31.
Applicants should apply in writing to the club via email at guyrarugbyleague@gmail.com or through a member of the committee.
The club is also interested in expressions of interest from prospective players and sponsors for 2026.
Guyra enjoyed a successful season in 2025 with both men’s and women’s teams making the semifinals.
At the AGM the club thanked outgoing president Tremane Patterson and secretary Kylie Sutton.
The outstanding efforts of Kylie and Damien Sutton over the past three years to keep the club going were recognised.
The next club meeting will be held at the bottom pub from 6pm on Monday, November 3 and new members are welcome.
