Crowd favourite Lachie Cossor brought plenty of personality to Guyra as part of the entertainment for the Guyra Show, but his visit extended well beyond the showgrounds, much to the delight of locals.
On Friday afternoon, perched atop Benson the Bull, Cossor sauntered down Bradley Street, turning heads as he made his way through town - even riding straight through the bar at the Guyra Hotel.
Over the weekend he delivered lively performances for show patrons, with crowds thoroughly enjoying the unique entertainment.
The performances featured Benson the bull, horses, dogs, ducks and other animals and whipcracking, lots of tunes and plenty of laughs.
Cossor then extended his stay, continuing to share his talents around the community. On Sunday he and his entourage dropped into the Australian Poetry Hall of Fame for a spontaneous performance.
By Monday morning they were back out on the streets of Guyra before visiting Kolora Aged Care Hostel, where residents and staff were treated to a special performance.
The extended visit ensured Lachie’s time in Guyra was remembered not just as show entertainment, but as a whole-of-town experience.
