New maternity and pregnancy options for women of Guyra

Have you heard about the Glen Innes Maternity Group Practice? What it is and how it can benefit any Mum to be?
Ruth Stace has been working as a local doula for the past three years has a heart to see women flourish and thrive throughout their pregnancy, labour and after the birth of their babies and is excited to share the possibility of new maternity and pregnancy options for the women of Guyra.
Midwives Jo and Heather from the Glen Innes Maternity Group Practice (MGP)) are coming to Guyra to provide more information about the service they provide, their experience with mums who have already used the MGP, and to answer any questions you might have.
“The Glen Innes MGP serves women in the wider region – you don’t have to be living in Glen Innes to access their service,” Ruth said.
“If you register with the Glen Innes MGP you can expect to be assigned to the same midwife for all your appointments for your entire pregnancy, labour and postpartum care.
“This means you get to know your midwife and develop a relationship of trust, where she knows your story, gets to know you and your baby and walks the journey with you – in other words, continuity of care. I cannot recommend it highly enough.
“It is a well-known fact that this continuity of maternity care gives women and their babies the best outcomes, with fewer medical interventions and more satisfaction with their pregnancy and birth journey.
“So why not stack the cards in your favour and come and find out more, for yourself or someone you know?”
There will be an information evening on Wednesday the 23rd of April at 6.30pm at GALA (Bradley Street).
