Santa ready to roll out gifts

In previous years, The Hub at Guyra has conducted a Reverse Advent Giving event where they supported community members by providing donated gifts to be chosen and given to others. Last year was the very successful Children’s Gift Selection event.
This year The Hub at Guyra and Tarsha Baker from Unique Lollies Balloons and Gifts have partnered with some of our regional neighbourhood centres, the Guyra CWA Evening Branch, Guyra CWA, Drought Aid - Feed A Farmer, BOLD Trailer & Caravan Repair Centre Caringbah, Curves Panania, Northwest Church Guyra, Guyra Lions Club, Working With Nature, Garden Village Port Macquarie and the generosity of the local community to ensure that every person is included in this year’s Christmas care.
Along with St Vincent de Paul Society, The Rotary Clubs of Guyra and the Mid North Coast, Guyra Milling, Sarah Taylor from Australian Wool Network and Catherine Spora from RAMHP we are all working to support and care for our drought and fire-ravaged region.
Along with the drought it has been tough going since the Tingha fires in February followed by the more recent devastating fires surrounding the region of Guyra and its villages. Our local farms and everyone who works and lives on them have been tested beyond any endurance in living memory. Christmas is a time to know that everyone cares. You may have already contacted Tarsha but if not and you wish to donate you can also leave donations at 160 Bradley Street. You can nominate a person, a family, a farm by emailing info@the-hub.cc to register your nominated people. Make sure you note names, ages, address and a contact phone number so that everything gets delivered to the correct home. The Santa Run will occur on 22nd, 23rd and 24th December. We hope that EVERYONE is nominated. Please make sure that you only give new or almost new items and in-date non-perishable goods. Let’s be the kindest, most generous, and loving to each other that it’s possible to be!
