Fantastic weekend at New England Sings

05th Nov 2024

Black Mountain Public School students had the wonderful experience to perform at New England Sings. What a fantastic weekend with our KUKRA Yulugi Dancers and New England Singers! Thank you so much to our students who gave their time and energy on the weekend to perform with so many students, artists and musicians at New England Sings! in Armidale.
I’d like to thank our parents who supported their children to make this happen, our parents who were able to attend to see this amazing performance, Rowena Teege – our choir teacher extraordinaire, Mr Batt – for volunteering to drive our bus, Corinne Arter CEO of the New England Conservatorium of Music, composers and musicians who created such beautiful music - Ian Jefferson and Warwick Dunham and Bob Blair, project manager at the Aboriginal Cultural and Keeping Place in Armidale for his Didgeridoo sounds that were just hauntingly beautiful accompanying our dancers as we opened New England Sings on that weekend. Thank you, Mrs Lord for helping settle our nerves for our first performance.
