Guyra Neighbourhood Centre (GNC) together with local permaculture teacher Heidi McElnea from Highland Permaculture, are putting on four workshops for the community in November and December. The workshops will be held at the GNC’s Community Garden on Bradley Street, Guyra.
“Residents from Guyra and surrounding areas are invited to be involved in the workshops where we will investigate permaculture techniques and related practices such as regenerative agriculture and how we can harness the benefits for our local homes, gardens and farms,” Heidi said.
“With a focus on relationships between elements (based on ecology) and a low cost and resourceful approach to food production that looks after the earth for the long term, these are great ideas to ‘grow’ in our region!”
“Campbell Wolfenden from Guyra Rural Services will also be sharing some of his learnings and case studies from working with local food and fibre producers.”
The workshops will be held on Saturdays (11am - 1.30pm) beginning on the November 16th for four weeks. People are welcome to come along to one workshop or all four.
